JETTA SERVICES
WHY USE JETTER SERVICES?
A Jetta machine is a high-pressure cleaner that is a surefire, safe way to clear blockages from your drains. There are many reasons that drain become blocked -
Soap and grim build-up, incorrect or poorly installed drainage, a large obstruction lodged, solidified fat from the kitchen sinks, cutlery, air bubbles and incorrect venting, old or rusted pipes, broken pipework, tree roots, kids toys, sanitary items, cement and plaster from old jobs and renovations… The list goes on.
We use a state-of-the-art, high-pressure drain cleaner to unclog your drains quickly and thoroughly.
WHAT IS A JETTA?
Water Jetters are machines that shoot water out of the nozzle at high speeds (5000PSI), making them an ideal tool for removing blockages like solid materials, kids’ toys, tree roots, and other materials that cause blocked drains for good.
The specialty head/nozzles typically have five sprayers angled backwards and forwards. The sprayers shooting backwards propel the hose forward and clean the pipe walls whilst the single sprayer facing forward cuts through the blockage within the pipe.
Often if you use any other means to clear major blockages, it is often temporary and more often than not, does long-term damage to the pipework. Temporary clearing of a blockage may only clear a hole in obstructions that leads to the blockage reoccurring soon after. A Jetter uses high-pressure water coming from a flexible plastic hose, it thoroughly and safely cleans all the pipes.
What causes blockages?
You would be surprised what we find in your drains!
We live in Sydney. There are a lot of older buildings here and that can be troublesome. Old broken clay pipes are common in Suburbia. Urbanwear materials ceased to be used around 20 years ago, we use a more flexible PVC pipe nowadays.
Children’s toys, crayons, nappies and sanitary items…Even large rocks are commonly found in blocked drains.
Tree roots are one of the most common complaints, as well as dodgy pipes laid, rerouted, cut off and wrong sizing attached with renovations are on the up and up.
Incorrect venting or pressure - a drain pipe requires proper ventilation to work. Drain waste ventilation lines maintain neutral air pressure in the drains, allowing the free flow of water and sewage down drains and through waste pipes by gravity. If the vent pipe is undersized, installed incorrectly or blocked, your drain system won't work. An air bubble can form in the drain resulting in a blockage.
Even though you may be diligently picking the hair from your plug holes, it’s inevitable that blockages will still occur. Soap, grime and hair build-up are going to happen. keeping a grate on top of your drains will help diminish the strain on your drains.
Fat from your kitchen sink will solidify and form a blockage… Also, watch those teaspoons - we see a lot of those escaping your kitchen draws and making it to your pipework.
